Apparently Seventeen's Hot was divisive in the fandom but I liked it a lot - the post apocalypse vibes, the deranged visuals - into it.

Jackson's early solo stuff made me sigh a lot but over the past few years (since 100 Ways) he's truly hit his stride. Every MV for this album was interesting, sensual, often demonic, always theatrical - I chose Blow because it dropped first and was such a welcome shock to the system.

Ateez's Don't Stop was a Universe track so it's lesser seen compared to their title tracks but it is just the kind of thing I love, heist and lore together, confusing enough to be interesting.

DPR Ian's short film Miito is a work of art, he's trying a lot and it's all so interesting.

CIX's 458 continues their journey through Dante's Divine Comedy - but this time they are RACE CAR DRIVERS YEAH BABY.

Moonbin and Sanha's Who
is firmly in sensuous boys' club territory and they are just so good at being tall and slinky and compelling.

The Boyz's Sweet is another Universe track and as a light, sweet vampire comedy it's the perfect counterpoint to their previous Universe track, also vampire-themed, the dark and sexy Drink It.

Junji's be mine is one of OnlyOneOf's underground idol 'Be' series all of which take place in the same world and follow three interlinked gay couples. And they are textually playing gay couples - each is a perfect little mini movie.

Lionesses' Will You Be My Groom? is a simple pop song from one of the very few openly LGBTQ groups in Korea. Its members don't fit into the usual idol modes and their songs are about the lived experience of being gay. This song I found so - simple and touching and direct, I kind of cried a bit the first time I watched it.

This interview is really interesting and about this song, Damjun says:

There is an interesting story in this song about the institutional discrimination experienced by same-sex couples in countries where same-sex marriage is not legalized.

In Korea, there is a low-interest housing loan (government-backed) that only newlyweds can receive, and government-run rental apartments are also provided with very small studio apartments for single-person households, and newlyweds are provided with more than two large apartments. In addition, driver insurance premiums are legally 30% cheaper than other people when the passenger is a family member, and not long ago, the Korean government eventually dismissed the same-sex couple's application for a spouse as a health insurance dependent through a lawsuit.

I don't want to claim these stories as political propaganda for this song, but I have to translate them into other languages, but when I asked my hyungs who have already married their friends overseas if there is such a difference in housing benefits or insurance premiums.

Everyone was like, "Are you finally moving to America to get married?" LOL
