Swan from Purple Kiss - she has a lovely voice and this has exactly that kpop soloist vibe. I cannot think of the right words lol.
Jun - Psycho
Too jagged to be fun but I really enjoy seeing his vision and his performance. I can see The Dark Knight influence. The outfits are chef's kiss.
Kiss of Life - Shhh
Best watched in conjunction with each of their solo MVs and the pre-release Bye My Neverland which all add up to a really interesting teen soap storyline. Enjoyed it!!!
ICHILLIN' - Kick-Start
Extremely cute! Enjoyed the pop punk guitary sound.
Queenz Eye - Un-normal
Really cool sound and vibe AND a Paradise Diner sighting!
NMIXX - Roller Coaster, Party O'Clock
Finally JYP are letting them do fun pop songs.
NewJeans - Super Shy, Cool with You, Cool With You/Get Up
Only named 3 of them but all their MVs this month were worth a watch. How are they SO interesting and spooky and cute all the time? The Lisbon flash mob scenes were so fun (though I laughed so hard when they were in the fish market). It took me several minutes to remember the term 'flash mob' btw.

* Unfortch for me, I haven't had time to watch Kiss of Life's MVs. My brain likes linear things, so I can't quite jump into their actual!single w/o checking out the individual songs first. OTOH, "Shhh" has popped up on a lot of the (rotating) daily mixes I listen to, and I've liked it!
* If someone had told me that I'd have become a casual NMIXX fan in 2023, I'd have thought that person was pulling my leg, NGL. That said, I've actually come around to enjoy their songs (yes, even "O.O") and so I was able to get in on the new comeback as it was happening. The departure from whatever they were doing before is interesting. I do appreciate that they're doing a softer version of the switch ups. And, yeah, I agree with you 100%: these songs are v. fun!
* NewJeans' ability to release the kind of songs that grab you and don't let you go is, by now, LEGENDARY. One thing that makes me feel rather *______* abt them is how different each of their MVs have been for this latest comeback. And I loved (LOVED) seeing the flash mobs in the "Super Shy" MV. Even felt a weird wave of nostalgia in the best kind of ways. :D

I really am glad NMIXX are getting to show more of what they have! I have really enjoyed seeing them in variety contexts and on my tl (Lily is sooooooo cute and funny) so it's all good.

However, I guess I must have been in a forgiving mood since I clicked play on it. The video made a point that NMIXX can really sing and that the members were v. personable. The latter made sense to me (it's extremely rare for ANY idol to have too bland of a personality, I'd say? Otherwise, ppl wouldn't get into a parasocial bond with them, etc.) BUT the first part intrigued me. So I listened to a NMIXX playlist on Spotify and was like WOW, THEY REALLY CAN SING!
FTR, it's v. rare for me to change my opinion from negative to positive (when it comes to songs and/or idols). Since it's not as if I've got to like everything and everyone, there's more than enough music to check out if I don't click with something, etc.
In any case, I guess my becoming a casual fan of NMIXX was THE miracle of 2023, XD. I'm deffo looking forward to checking out the variety content. :D
