Eric Nam at the Enmore (6 September 2022, Enmore Theatre)

Originally scheduled for July, when I was overseas, I didn't think there were any seated tickets left for this show. But a couple of nights before the show, I checked again and there still some seats!

It was my first time back at the Enmore since Carly Rae Jepsen in 2019, before the pandemic, and my first time since their refurbishment - the lights are amazing and the side seats look awesome. It's such a classic Sydney venue.

Eric Nam was charming and cheesy, a line he walks well. He's a great entertainer and a fun singer, and the live band and his two dancers made the show work well. He sang mostly from his English language catalogue.

He sung happy birthday to about five audience members, celebrated one of his dancers performing in front of his family for the first time, and cracked some good jokes. It wasn't quite as great as the last time I saw him (at the Metro in 2019) but I was also much closer to the stage that time so maybe that helped. A good time was had by all.

Eric Nam's Aussie Karaoke Tour | Pacific Vlog 2 - includes his brief visit to Sydney.

So glad you had a good time! He was literally the last concert I saw before the shutdown - I saw him in February or so or 2020 - and he was so good! He was so personable and cheery, very friendly with the audience, and also had a lot of good dance stages. I felt like he filled the room as a solo artist really well, and he is still one of my all time favorite shows. I do know he has been touring basically nonstop this year, so that also could be why the 2019 concert was a little better.

Eric Nam's crept up on me. Some of his songs happen to be part of the random Kpop playlists I shuffle thru (the daily Spotify ones, I mean?) from time to time. It's so cool to know that he was cheesy-charming (that a good combo and one that suits him v. well). Also, yays for having live band! that's always a boost to any performance.
