Twice (4 November, Marvel Stadium, Melbourne)
I saw the Ready to Be Tour earlier this year and as an arena show that was absolutely perfect. They came back for round two in a stadium and this experience was still enjoyable, but as an attendee, the lesser of the two shows.
From a setlist and performance standpoint, it was very similar and the group is still totally delightful, no complaints there. There were a few setlist changes - More and More, which used a lot of props in the arena show, was dropped, which made sense given the stadium set-up.
Jihyo's solo was changed from Nightmare to Killing Me Good, again, made sense given that her solo title track has now been released.
Jeongyeon's solo changed to Can't Stop the Feeling, which isn't a song I love but which she performed so delightfully. In the ment, the group made her do her dance break again, and then Sana, Nayeon too, and Dahyun too had to do it - it was VERY cute, so endearing.
For the encore, they spun the roulette wheel and we got Signal AGAIN (surely this is rigged) and Perfect World (very nice).
The crowd was very friendly and very into Twice, lots of fun outfits and costumes, and the group was absolutely charming, they made me smile so much.
So that's all the good.
I think fundamentally that stadium shows are just not as good as arena shows, unless you are in the lucky few who get a really close seat. I've seen some good stadium shows (Taylor Swift's Red tour was excellent, actually) but just fundamentally - you are so far away. The screens are huge, yes, but they were just tiny dots on the stage.
Specifically for this show, I actually had a floor seat at first. But within moments it became clear that I would not be able to see a single thing because there wasn't enough elevation for the stage, and I'm too short and my seat was too far away. So after the first song I ducked over to the seats and simply took a spare one. The show wasn't sold out so a couple of sections in the lower tier were unsold. I wasn't the only one who did this, plenty of people in my section did the same.
It was also a physically uncomfortable show - it was so cold and windy that Twice commented on it several times!
Random notes:
Before the show, the girl on my left was reading Sarah J Maas. The girl on my right was on AO3 reading c-novel fanfic (for a relatively small danmei fandom). And I was reading Circe by Madeline Miller. What a bunch of cliches.
To the left of the girl on my left was an older man, entirely grey haired, who was on his own and at his first kpop show too. He was too chatty for me but I did eavesdrop shamelessly. Good for him anyway, enjoy your show.
I didn't bring any PCs with me so that day
thawrecka and I went to a kpop store in Chinatown and I bought 2 $1 PCs, one of Jeongyeon and another of Momo. Then I bought a Kuromi card holder at a cute store in Melbourne Central. So I felt I was fully equipped! At the cute store they played Twice and we started chatting to the girl next to us also said she was trying to find a card holder for her Twice PC for the show!

At the end of each show they spin a roulette wheel so Perfect World isn't part of the official set list, it's just there sometimes in the encore. Felt lucky to see it! <3

The concert sounds like a lot of fun! I love that you reported on what everyone is reading, that is absolutely essential! I still haven't read Circe, but it's on my list.
I love Twice! One day the stars will align and I will see them, but I doubt it will be soon. GLad you got to see them again!

You HAVE to have an emergency Taeyong on you at all times, totally understandable!
I hope you get to see Twice too, they are so delightful, really one of the best live acts I've seen all year.
ETA: I found Circe just fine. It is very readable but I don't think it's particularly memorable.

Good to know on Circe. I loved Song of Achilles, but Circe hasn't drawn me in yet, and there are so many books.
