The Metro was only half-full, with the rest of the venue blocked off, but the fans were very enthusiastic and we were told several times by the staff and once by Xikers themselves to take a step back to avoid overcrowding at the front (they could have just opened up more of the venue imo). Great atmosphere though!

I was a bit skeptical going in because I've had quite a neutral relationship to their discography. The first few songs didn't do much to dissuade me from my skepticism. They were all noise, and I honestly thought to myself "am I really going to enjoy this if the whole set is like this?"

But then after their intro ments and a VCR/MV, they came back with a section for the more melodic and sweeter songs, and this I thought was so much better. They did go back for more noise later but it was all much better than the opening. They were really good performers and the room had such good energy that I enjoyed the rest of the show.

A few members stuck out to me. Minjae as their leader and an all-rounder, Sumin as a rapper, and Seeun and Hunter had good stage presence. One of the vocalists was very steady too, he was blonde, not sure which one. Jinsik?

They did do one game ment where they had to decide if a statement was true or false. They kept asking the audience for hints but then saying "hints! don't tell us!" but how are you meant to hint yes or no when the questions are like "Is Finding Nemo set in Melbourne?"

Homeboy is the one Xikers song I like enough to put on repeat but it's probably one of their least representative songs.
